Extra Curricular Activities

That Emmy-Nominated short
i was in that one time

One of my best friends, Sara Wolfson, is a producer at the Daily Planet. She texted me and was like, "Hey, do you want to be in this thing we're doing? There are going to be roosters. I bought a harness and leashes for them."

And I was like, "Sweet. Sign me up."

So we filmed this funny and silly thing at Daily Plant HQ, and a few months later we found out our director was nominated for a Best Director Emmy. NBD.

I chaired the Advisory board
of a super Awesome Non-profit
(Adulting +10)

Giving back to the community is a value that was instilled in me at an early age by my mom. For the last two years I've volunteered my time with the wonderful people at Pilot Light, a Chicago non-profit dedicated to helping children explore other cultures and discover the world around them through in-school, food-based education.

In 2016, I began helping the advisory board generate and execute basic social media concepts and strategy. I guess they liked my help because, in the spring of 2017, I was asked to officially join the Advisory Board, overseeing their social media planning and directing their interns as they executed various strategies. And because I didn't suck at that, in October of 2017, when the board's chair stepped down, I was asked if I would assume her duties. (I said, 'Heck, yeah!')
